This is a great call of Pope John Paul II, in his encyclical Ut Unum Sint...that they may be one. Then the year 2000, the third millennium, will truly be a celebration. Intercessory prayer of the church, joined with that of our mother, Mary, will touch the heart of her son, Jesus Christ and save mankind. Just as the intercession of Esther saved the jewish people, the intercession of Mary will be heard by Jesus. The Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a triumph of intercession. Our Meager efforts are an attempt to join with Our Lady's to plead with her son to save the world. Jesus Christ himself is the great intercessor before the throne of our heavenly Father.
